We make a beefier version of the T-bar!
For larger bags which can hold more weight, we can make a "Heavy Duty" version with the reinforcement strut which handles something like 16lbs. The HD version is made to order and costs $120 for the raw stainless finish. Here's some notes about the HD version:
- The Support strut is centered, so you'll need to make sure your bag's webbing loops are NOT centered, as the bag won't sit evenly.
- We can make the cross bar wider if needed, standard is 200mm. The cross bar can't be wider than double(ish) the spacing of the webbing loops on the back of your bag.
- HD T-bars are $120 for raw stainless and ship in 5-10days. Black or other powdercoat colors are available for +$15 and add 2-3weeks to lead time.
- The HD T-bar works best with 10mm of spacer below the T-bar clamp, or on headtubes with an outside diameter of 48mm or less when the T-bar sits directly on top of the headset. The slope of the strut may require extra spacers to clear the edge of the headtube or headset cup.
